Beauty Brands from Down Under Hitting the States

Beauty Brands from Down Under Hitting the States

We’re on our way to the USA! Well, not us, obviously. With international travel off the agenda for the foreseeable, we’re staying put. Sand & Sky, however, is headed to the land of hope and dreams – touching down in over 600 Ulta Beauty stores across the country this month!

It’s all part of the A-Beauty tidal wave sweeping the US right now and quite frankly, we are here for it! To celebrate this MAJOR milestone, we’re spreading the love by shouting out our favourite cult Aussie beauty brands hitting the States. Behold the beauty wonders from Down Under – starting with, you guessed it, Sand & Sky!

The one with the OG Pink Clay Mask…

Sand & Sky

Created by Aussie twins, Sarah and Emily Hamilton, Sand & Sky is serious skincare for low-fuss babes.Packed with powerhouse Australian botanical ingredients – think Emu Apple and Pink Clay, Finger Lime and Kakadu Plum – Sand & Sky teams clean, effective formulas with simple routines that deliver speedy results. Because Aussie beauties would rather be at the beach than stuck in the bathroom!

Cult buy: Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask

We’ve launched a bunch of cult skincare prods in a few short years, but the one that broke the internet is our Australian Pink Clay Mask. With pink clay to draw out impurities and oils, kelp and witch hazel to refine pores, and the world’s richest source of Vitamin C – Kakadu Plum, it detoxifies and brightens skin like nobody’s business. Is it any wonder one of these little beauties sells every 10 seconds?!

The one that’ll give you Rapunzel’s locks…

BondiBoost

Born on iconic Bondi Beach, it was written in the sand that this 100% Aussie haircare brand would reach cult status. BondiBoost sells A LOT of hair products, from clean shampoos and conditioners to styling products and tools and even supplements. But it’s no doubt the AMAZING results and rave customer reviews for their hair growth range that you’ve seen all over Insta

Cult buy: BondiBoost Hair Growth Bundle

It’s hard to pick just one fave from the range, so we’ve picked three! Bundling up the Hair Growth Shampoo and Conditioner with the Intensive Growth Spray, this tress-loving trio is seriously worshipped Down Under. Featuring a cocktail of vitamins, minerals and amino acids that promote stronger, longer, healthier hair, the shampoo and conditioner leave hair silky-soft and shiny from the first wash – and the peppermint scent is truly perkifying.

Enriched with Vitamin B5, the spray also promotes hair growth and has a delish tropical scent and lightweight, non-greasy formula you will LOVE.

The one with the cult coffee scrub…

Frank Body

We’re fanatical about coffee Down Under, so it makes sense that one of our original cult beauty brands makes uses of its skin-loving benefits! Featuring super-effective ingredients like charcoal, coconut oil and, of course, coffee, Frank Body prods are packed with the good stuff to fight breakouts, smooth cellulite and basically transform your skin, hair and bod. They call it #thefrankeffect and Aussie babes are all in.

Cult buy: Original Coffee Scrub

Call us basic, but we just can’t go past the body scrub the brand was built on. 100% vegan and full of natural goodness from skin-sloughing coffee grinds, antioxidant-rich almond oil, healing Vitamin E and exfoliating, antibacterial sea salt, it’s as popular today as when it launched seven years ago. Leaving skin butter-soft and helping to tackle scars, acne and unwanted bumps, it’s frankly amazing.

The one in every Aussie handbag…

lano product

LanoLips

If there’s one name on every Aussie beauty editor and influencer’s lips, it’s this: Lanolips. Founded by Kirsten Carriol, the brand is built around one amazing hero ingredient: lanolin. Growing up on a sheep farm, Carriol was educated by her father on the unique healing, hydrating properties of lanolin – found in sheep’s wool. Fast forward to 2009 and her first cruelty-free, humanely-sourced lanolin product, the award-winning 101 Ointment, was born.

The brand now produces a range of lip, face and body products, so you can experience that lano magic from top to toe.

Cult buy: Tinted Lip Balm

With a reported 101 uses, the 101 Ointment tops any cult beauty buys list, and deservedly so. However, we use the Tinted Lip Balms a dozen times a day so it has to be our top pick. With a 99% natural formula the lanolin-powered balms lock in moisture to leave lips soft, comfy, and ready to pucker. Perfect when you need a pop of high-gloss colour, but don’t want to sacrifice hydration.

(Note: In the US, the lip balms don’t contain SPF.)
